Quick Dragon Fruit Smoothie Bowl

Pink dragon fruit smoothie bowl topped with fruit and seeds, served in natural daylight.

This bowl is for mornings when you want something fresh but don’t want to think too much. It’s cold, smooth, lightly fruity, and ready almost as soon as the blender stops.

Ingredients

Base

  • Frozen dragon fruit (pitaya), cubed
  • Frozen banana slices
  • A small splash of plant milk or regular milk

Toppings (use what’s nearby)

  • Fresh berries or sliced banana
  • Coconut flakes
  • Chia seeds or crushed nuts
  • Optional: honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Start with the frozen fruit. Add dragon fruit and banana straight into the blender.
  2. Blend thick, not liquid. Pour in just enough milk to get the blades moving.
  3. Stop early. Blend until smooth but spoonable—this should not be drinkable.
  4. Serve immediately. Spoon into a bowl while still icy and dense.
  5. Top quickly. Add fruit, seeds, or coconut without over-arranging.
  6. Eat right away, before it softens.

Tips:

  • Use frozen fruit only—fresh fruit makes it too thin.
  • If the blender struggles, pause and stir instead of adding more liquid.
  • Chill the bowl beforehand for better texture.
